During the pandemic, Vov began a journey into contemporary Classical Australian music which has led to collaborations, recordings and performances of music by Ann Carr-Boyd, Margaret Brandman, John Martin, Stuart Greenbaum and Elena Kats-Chernin to name a few.
The result of these collaborations is that in the course of 2022 and 2023 Vov is excited to be premiering and releasing approximately 40 brand new compositions by some of Australia’s most celebrated living composers.
The first album of these releases is "KISMET: VIGNETTES FOR VIOLIN AND PIANO"with music by Elena Kats-Chernin which has travelled to becoming no1 on all the classical charts in Australia as well as having been featured as an album of the week on most classical radio stations.
Vov can now be found regularly performing as a Variety Theatre performer as well as a Classical Violinist.
Vov in 2018 is starting an association with KEYS OF CHANGE and is flying to nations across the globe to give masterclasses and most importantly help pass on the passion of the Violin to the next generation.
So far this association has led to involvement with the Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta, the formation of the Accra Youth Sinfonietta as well as having done multiple online sessions during the pandemic which has helped lead to the creation of the Chennai Youth Sinfonietta.
Vov is extremely proud to be associated with this charity and its founder PANOS KARAN.
In January 2014 Vov Dylan broke the world record for fastest "Flight Of The Bumblebee" with The Australian Book Of Records by playing the piece in 38.1 seconds. At the time of writing this website, the record still stands.
The record has led to many wonderful things including a recording contract, a sold out national tour as well as continual publicity - it has also had moments of controversy - but that has only added to the fun!
