You are listening to: I've Got You Under My Skin - Performed by Vov Dylan and his Orchestra

“The Affair”, Vov Dylan’s first CD release features Vov performing his own take on 15 standards from various eras.

Vov has been working on this project throughout the course of 2009 – finding as many available moments as possible to work and develop this album which he hopes will be the first of many.

The Title is "The Affair" and is aiming to depict “as many elements as possible of a love affair: joy, seduction, soul searching, anticipation, heart ache, warmth, giddiness...”.

Tunes include I’ve Got You Under My Skin, At Last, Besame Mucho, So In Love, Santa Lucia and Sole Mio (featuring legendary Accordionist Enzo Toppano), If, La Mer, An Affair To Remember and The Way You Look Tonight. The CD closes with a haunting rendition of Romeo and Juliette.

“I started this recording process knowing I wanted to capture a romantic feel – to create an album reminiscent of the great Hollywood romantic films Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra. I went to the sound of the original 1930’s musicals, took their simple, string based harmonies, and gave it a tweak to suit my own style and bring the sound to a new century. The Violin is an instrument that has long been associated with beautiful melodies and romance. This more than anything else is what I wanted to capture”

“The Affair” showcases many of Vov Dylan’s talents from being solo Violinist to singer. He is the musical arranger for all the music on the CD, and was actively involved in every step of the process.

"I truly hope that my audiences enjoy this first recording - I thankyou all for taking the time to look into this CD, and I look forward to seeing you at one of my upcoming appearances"
