OFF THE CUFF

You are listening to Autumn Leaves - one track from this exciting new album!

Launched on 2MBSFM Radio 22 November at 8am

This is a brand new CD with standards that are eternally popular, featuring Vov Dylan on Violin and Entertainment Legend Enzo Toppano on Accordion.

For those in reading who do not know of Enzo's history, he is one of the worlds most celebrated accordionists, having been credited with putting the Piano Accordion on the international concert stage. His solo shows in London used to have people like Julie Andrews and Petula Clarke do support acts for him, and he was voted Englands most popular stage entertainer on many an occasion.

When returning to Australia, he joined with his wife Peggy Mortimer and together they had their own long-running TV show, multiple ongoing stage shows, recording contracts and a radio show!

2004 saw Vov and Enzo work together for one of Vov's shows at Lachlan's Old Government House, after that time they have become friends and long term collaborators who work together at every given opportunity.

Over this time Vov and Enzo frequently talked about doing an album togther - then in 2011, Lorenzo Toppano (Enzo's son) came back from America and said "lets do it!" and suddenly a new album appeared!

Lorenzo was a fantastic contributor to this process, after having worked with many of the worlds best recording artists, his ears, experience, and his ability to push both Vov and Enzo brought out a performance from both that they did not expect.

We hope you enjoy listening to two old friends playing the standards together "off the cuff"!
